Après Anatomia publica et Troubles du rythme, Tomeo Vergès livre le dernier volet du triptyque consacré à son histoire familiale. Comme dans les deux précédents, cette quête autobiographique passe d’abord par le geste, dont la décomposition met à jour les strates de la mémoire. La fabrique des souvenirs vécus ou inventés est d’ailleurs le thème central de la pièce, qui éclaire les processus complexes transformant le réel en fiction, jusqu’à l’affabulation. Les quatre interprètes – dont Christian Ubl par ailleurs chorégraphe invité de la Biennale – vont jusqu’à mettre en abîme les premiers opus et questionner leur propre participation au projet, pour mieux relire un passé débarrassé des recompositions subjectives. Une façon aussi pour Tomeo Vergès, qui fut interprète chez Maguy Marin et Carolyn Carlson avant de fonder il y a plus de vingt ans sa propre compagnie, de revisiter par un effet miroir son propre parcours.
