Est-il possible d’anticiper, en temps réel, les attentes et les envies du public afin de concevoir un spectacle idéal ? C’est le défi que se lancent les protagonistes de SYSTEM FAILURE, en inventant un programme informatique générateur de performance. Mais cette nouvelle technologique pleine de promesses révèle, assez vite, ses limites et ses failles. « SYSTEM FAILURE vise à mettre en scène l’humain avec ses paradoxes, ses illusions, ses fantasmes, ses faiblesses et ses prouesses dans un monde qui évolue en permanence entre fiction et réalité », révèlent Louise Baduel et Leslie Mannès. Evoluant « dans un univers absurde et décalé empreint de références cinématographiques », les deux artistes bruxelloises spéculent sur « ce que pourrait être le théâtre du futur ». Ce faisant, elles interrogent notre rapport à la scène, et sondent les thèmes de la relation homme/machine, de la peur de l’altérité, de la place de notre corps dans des sociétés de plus en plus mécanisées et virtualisées.
