Le tango avait déjà fait sa rentrée théâtrale cette saison, sur la scène du Châtelet façon comédie musicale. Mais ici, la compagnie Buenos Aires Tango Express n’ambitionne pas de raconter une histoire, mais plutôt de nous plonger dans l’univers du tango, sa culture, sa musique, ses codes… Sur une scène dépouillée, l’orchestre derrière eux, les danseurs jouent à fond la carte de la virtuosité. S’ensuivent des duos langoureux, extrêmement précis, des jeux de jambes complexes et évocateurs qui magnifient les corps unis de l’homme et de la femme. Celles-ci, portées littéralement par leurs partenaires, flirtent parfois avec les airs, emportant le tango vers des sphères plus légères. Le spectacle, tout en tension et en technique maîtrisée, revisite les styles et les âges du tango avec un sens doux et fin de la mise en scène.
