Tanguera s’affiche comme une production à grand spectacle, réunissant une trentaine de danseurs avec tous les ingrédients nécessaires pour un spectacle bien monté : une plongée dans un univers troublant (les quartiers peu fréquentables du port de Buenos Aires), une portée historique (la fin du XIXème siècle, l’histoire des migrants et celle du tango des bas-fonds), et un scénario où l’amour et la mort se rejoignent. On nous relate l’histoire d’une jeune femme au nom évocateur – Giselle – qui débarque de France et se prend de passion pour le tango. En arrière-plan les bordels, la pègre, l’univers du cabaret, et deux hommes prêts à s’affronter pour la jeune femme. Docker, proxénète, amour, larmes, et toute la sensualité d’une danse encore peu représentée sur nos scènes françaises, mise en lumière ici par la chorégraphe Mora Godoy.
