Petite lucarne sur le monde, enrobage scénographique, perspective et contexte, aventure hors champ ou encore gros plans intimes… Les images ont envahi les plateaux. Pourtant, au-delà des effets de mode, dont certains usent pour satiner leur inspiration fatiguée d’un vernis de modernité, le frottement du vivant et des techniques audiovisuelles a bel et bien fécondé de nouveaux langages. Créé voilà six ans par Arte, la Ferme du Buisson et plusieurs partenaires européens, le festival Temps d’images fait découvrir des formes atypiques qui s’inventent à la croisée des arts de la scène et de l’image. Avec huit créations, trois chantiers, deux « Petites Fabriques d’images », de nombreuses installations et projections, l’édition 2007 questionne justement ces évolutions dialectiques.
L’image en questions
Certains artistes écornent l’image en tant que vecteur d’idéologie. Dans Violences commerciales – saison 2, Fanny Bouyagui, plasticienne imaginative d’Art Point M, déboulonne ainsi les icônes peroxydées et autres modèles customisés du marketing. Pour K.O.D., la chorégraphe Isabella Soupart convoque Hamlet à l’heure des tabloïds et de la peopolisation à outrance. Cyril Teste se saisit de l’image comme dispositif critique, piochant dans Electronic city de Falk Richter la matière d’une tragédie de l’errance dans un monde standardisé. Avec Comme Nancy aurait souhaité que tout ceci ne fût qu’un poisson d’avril, le libanais Rabih Mroué confond réalité et fiction dans une cinglante performance sur les luttes fratricides de son pays. La compagnie belge Résidence Catherine se promène, elle, aux confins du réel et de l’imaginaire avec un Hansel et Gretel onirique autant qu’ironique. Le GdRA préfère voguer entre l’exceptionnel et le banal, avec des Singularités ordinaires croisant la vidéo, le cirque et le chant. Très musical, L’instrument à pression de David Lescot mis en scène par Véronique Bellegarde suit les circonvolutions d’un trompettiste jazz. Jouant de l’interaction entre la présence de l’acteur et son image filmée, le brésilien Enrique Diaz entraîne sa troupe dans les coulisses de La Mouette, faisant de Seagull Play une magistrale réflexion sur l’art et la vie.
