Théâtre Les Lucioles / de et mes Alice de La Baume
L’histoire inventée par Alice de la Baume, qui signe également la mise en scène de cette nouvelle création de la compagnie La Dame de Pique, est celle de dix personnages qui se retrouvent dans « le monde farfelu de la mort ». Un monde, kafkaïen, qui mêle les traits de la comédie de l’absurde au rocambolesque flamboyant. « J’ai inventé de nouveaux codes et de nouvelles règles régissant le temps et l’univers de la mort », explique Alice de La Baume. « Le temps d’abord : j’ai rassemblé dans un même lieu des personnages d’époques différentes pour confronter les diverses visions du monde et questionner leur raison d’être. La mort, ensuite : j’ai imaginé les usagers, les salles d’attente, les règles, les protocoles de fonctionnement. Au final, cette transposition fictionnelle interroge : ne suffirait-il pas de s’émanciper du cadre que l’on s’impose pour se sentir libre dans la société malgré ses normes ? ». Les comédiens, en costumes d’époque correspondant à la société dans laquelle ils ont vécu, se meuvent dans un décor dont l’ultra-contemporanéité (caddie de supermarché, fournitures de bureau, éléments promotionnels) évoque les résonances entre ce monde de la mort qui est devenu le leur et celui dans lequel nous vivons.
