Il y a les routes, celles de sable et de goudron, celles que l’on ne franchît pas sans passeport, celles qu’on franchit avec chance ou avec la peur au ventre. Il y a les rencontres, celles que l’on n’attend pas, celles qui deviennent des histoires et que, jamais, on n’oublie. Sur son plan de travail noir, Praline Gay Para raconte. Ses récits, produits de hasards ou transmis, révèlent une humanité noire, injuste, mais volontaire et courageuse.
« Quand j’ai froid, je pense très fort à l’école et j’oublie »
Sable blanc, humide, terre noire : la conteuse façonne les minéraux pour mettre en marche nos imaginaires. Ses personnages sont des pierres et ses bras sont des routes. Il y a l’exil périlleux dans le désert, les portails fermés, les murs dont on questionne la nécessité, et Ahmed le Vaillant, petit homme de 14 ans qui veut aller à l’école. Toujours, ces chemins mènent quelque part : Paris, la Gare de Lyon, Porte de la Chapelle. Aussi éphémères que peut l’être la justice, les constructions de Praline Gay Para dessinent un espoir. Une leçon d’humanité, bercée par la parole pure, authentique, de la conteuse.
