Telle une chercheuse, la chorégraphe danoise s’est attachée aux phénomènes de frénésies dansantes du Moyen Âge, qui parvenaient à mettre en danse des centaines de personnes de manières incontrôlée et inexpliquée. Folie, expression cathartique, transe de guérison ? Chez Mette Ingvartsen, le corps s’inscrit toujours dans une histoire de lutte politique. Alors, quand se sont imposés à elle et à tous le confinement et son lot d’empêchements, voire d’interdictions, la question de la liberté de danser a pris un sens particulier. Son solo, tout en frénésie et en pulsations, nous plonge dans un dance-floor, et laisse la danseuse, au comble de l’épuisement, revisiter en mots cette histoire. Son langage rythmique musical allie poésie sonore et chansons dans un même élan, porteur d’un espace de contamination chorégraphique que le public pourrait, peut-être, lui-même expérimenter.
