Théâtre du Marais / d’après Alfred de Musset / adaptation Frédéric Vossier / mes Marie-Claude Morland
La compagnie du Théâtre du Trèfle dirigée par Marie-Claude Morland a mis en oeuvre un important travail collectif autour de l’œuvre de Musset, aboutissant à la mise en scène du Chandelier (2009), des Caprices de Marianne (2010), et “last but not least“, de La Confession d’un Enfant du siècle, œuvre phare du XIXe siècle adaptée par Frédéric Vossier. Le roman autofictionnel dépeint une société en pleine crise de valeur, une jeunesse désenchantée qui se condamne à l’inaction et au cynisme, se réfugiant sans illusion dans la débauche. Après avoir été trahi par sa maîtresse et son ami, le héros et narrateur du roman, Octave, se retrouve à la campagne dans la maison familiale, et… tombe amoureux, bientôt prisonnier du piège de la jalousie. C’est là que se déroule la pièce, et qu’Octave nous livre sa sublime réflexion et confession : une mise à nu sans fard, éperdue et profondément émouvante. « Un sentiment de malaise inexprimable… » que l’art de la scène pourtant révèle… Bertrand Farge, compagnon de longue date de l’équipe, incarne Octave.
