Tout d’abord, le violoniste Théo Ceccaldi qui vient présenter en avant-première d’un disque qu’il nous tarde d’ouïr Kutu, projet né de sa rencontre à Addis Abeba avec deux chanteuses éthiopiennes Hewan G/Wold et Haleluya T/Tsadik. A la clef, un trip rétro-futuriste qui puise dans les musiques traditionnelles l’énergie pour aller au-delà, boostée par des improvisations ésotériques et des basses hypnotiques. Ensuite, une autre rencontre, à savoir le retour d’une formule gagnante qui fit ses preuves sur disque et sur scène. Le totémique compositeur et pianiste, Girma Bèyènè, l’un des piliers de l’âge de la musique éthiopienne, s’associe au combo Akalé Wubé, une bande d’émules français qui s’inspirent depuis plus de dix ans du swing made in Addis Abeba. A la clef, une soirée qui s’annonce chaudement recommandable, où l’esprit du chanteur Alèmayèhu Eshèté, présent ici même en 2010 et décédé voici un mois, devrait planer.
