Réécrite et modernisée, ne conservant que sa trame et ses questions essentielles, la trilogie tragique d’Eschyle se concentre : de trois jours dans un amphithéâtre de pierre à une heure sur un plateau contemporain, elle est interprétée par trois comédiens (Nina Blanc, Mathieu Besnard et Thibaut Wenger) qui tiennent tous les rôles. Oreste est rebaptisé « ‘Reste », Pylade devient « P’lade, son pote, bonne pâte », Argos se change en « ‘Rgos » et Delphes est « Dolphes ». Et puisque tout change, rien ne change, tant les motifs tragiques sont éternels : « Comment calmer sa haine sans se déshonorer ? Comment pardonner les graves erreurs du passé sans les oublier ? Comment accueillir une personne accusée des pires crimes et lui donner une chance de recommencer sa vie ? Avec des personnages un peu rudes mais pas improbables, nous suivrons l’enchaînement des drames d’une famille de vainqueurs qui échappe à sa malédiction », dit Thibaut Wenger.
