NANTERRE ET MASSY / MUSIQUES ANCIENNES ET CONTEMPORAINES
Rien n’est plus stimulant, en concert, que lorsque les œuvres entrent en résonance. L’expérience ici se fait en enjambant les siècles, depuis l’âge d’or de la musique élisabéthaine (Byrd, Gibbons, Dowland puis Purcell) jusqu’aux pages les plus récentes de la musique anglaise, avec Jonathan Harvey (1939-2012) et Helen Grime (née en 1981). Autant d’œuvres qui semblent sculpter le temps et l’espace, avec pour burin la voix (le contre-ténor Paul-Antoine Bénos-Djian) ainsi que les violes au XVIIe siècle ou le hautbois pour Harvey et Grime. Elles s’enchaînent, comme en une danse, entre lumière et ténèbres, jouées alternativement par l’ensemble TM+ et Il Convito, la formation de la claveciniste et organiste Maude Gratton. Le compositeur Gérard Pesson (né en 1958), qui aime tant jouer avec les œuvres du passé, entre dans cette ronde avec une création réunissant les musiciens des deux ensembles, sous la direction de Laurent Cuniot.
