Au Japon, au cours des vingt dernières années, le nombre de personnes de plus de soixante-cinq ans arrêtées pour vol, agression ou meurtre a été multiplié par six. Aujourd’hui, vingt pour cent de la population carcérale sont constitués par ces retraités d’un genre inédit, qui choisissent la délinquance pour le confort de la prison et l’assurance de pouvoir manger trois repas par jour, de recevoir des soins et de pouvoir parler avec quelqu’un… Curieuse façon de lutter contre l’abandon social qui relègue les vieux dans la misère et l’oubli ! Le phénomène japonais a trouvé des émules en Europe. On se trouve face à un « symptôme socio-généalogique international », dont le dramaturge et metteur en scène Gildas Milin a décidé de faire le thème de sa nouvelle pièce. Regroupant quelques vieux briscards et des comédiens plus jeunes pour interpréter le meurtre collectif d’un trentenaire par des assassins cacochymes, Gildas Milin veut faire naître le « sentiment que la vie est un théâtre fait de ces étranges transmissions générationnelles », afin de renvoyer chacun à sa propre histoire. Dans une esthétique d’inspiration asiatique, hybridant éléments archaïques et modernes, les images, les sons et les corps composent une traversée existentielle des rapports conflictuels entre les âges.
