C’est dans les petits riens de la vie, les micro-événements de tous les jours, les conversations quotidiennes, que Jacques Brücher a puisé la matière du monde qu’il fait renaître sous nos yeux. Un monde auquel appartiennent Frédéric et les siens, la famille Tonto. Se retournant sur son passé, il mêle ainsi hier et aujourd’hui pour réinterroger les émotions complexes qui le lient à ses parents disparus et à son existence. « Dans la particularité de l’histoire de Frédéric, explique l’auteur et comédien, le spectateur retrouve sa propre histoire. “Tonto, une dernière fois !” nous promène dans les pensées qui se bousculent dans notre crâne et qui, s’y on s’y laisse aller, nous entrainent dans un monde vertigineux, nous ramènent à nous, à la mémoire de notre histoire."Investissant tous les protagonistes de cette saga pleine d’humour et de gourmandise, Jacques Brücher s’attache ainsi à nous transporter « au détour d’un mot, d’un geste, du rire à la tendresse, de la tristesse à la surprise ».
