THÉÂTRE MUSICAL / SURESNES
La vanité, genre emblématique de la peinture baroque, confronte l’homme à sa mort inéluctable et l’invite à réfléchir à la nature éphémère de la vie. Cet art du Memento Mori (« Souviens-toi que tu vas mourir ! ») trouve des correspondances dans la musique de cette époque. Le metteur en scène Benjamin Lazar et l’ensemble Les Cris de Paris (cinq chanteurs et huit instrumentistes) ont conçu un spectacle sur ce thème, empruntant à l’atmosphère des tableaux comme à la musique de Giacomo Carissimi (l’oratorio Vanitas vanitatis) ou à celle de Claudio Monteverdi et Luigi Rossi, en résonance avec des textes de poètes contemporains (Jean Auvray, Ronsard, La Fontaine) ou d’auteurs du 20e siècle (Raymond Queneau, Vladimir Jankélévitch).
