Qu’en est-il de nos asservissements volontaires ? La question tonne chez Alain Buffard comme une semonce obstinée, tant elle court depuis ses premières œuvres. Dès Good Boy, solo manifeste en 1998, il attaquait à l’acide ironique la morgue des corps glorieux cabriolant infatigablement en scène et en révélait la fragile vitalité. Depuis, il n’a de cesse de miner les modèles de genre et les dispositifs coercitifs, d’autant plus efficaces que bien planqués au cœur des habitudes et de l’idéal esthético-héroïque. Creusant les recherches menées dans S.E.S.A. en 2009, avec les étudiants de la Formation d’Artistes Chorégraphiques du CNDC d’Angers, il ausculte les motifs de l’aliénation et de l’assujettissement inclus dans les structures normatives de l’éducation. Observant les stratégies d’émancipation et de diversions face à une oppression, il met en scène marches militaires, gestuelle martiale, courses effrénées et batailles d’injures dans une détonante « guérilla ludique ». « Le rire critique est une bulle d’oxygène lorsque l’on observe l’état actuel du monde, la façon de baliser les frontières, par exemple. » dit-il. Sur le plateau, huit petits soldats mènent la lutte à coups d’humour ravageur contre le dressage en série et les machines de guerre. Résistance salutaire !
