C’est une parole limpide, forte et belle, adressée au monde et en particulier à la jeunesse africaine. Une traversée du temps et des failles de l’Histoire, une exploration qui recherche la beauté et la dignité, s’élève calmement et généreusement à l’encontre de ce qui blesse, ce qui déprécie, ce qui avilit. Universel du Nord au Sud, ce Discours aux Nation africaines, récit palpitant de Felwine Sarr magnifiquement conté par Étienne Minoungou, rappelle les injustices subies d’un continent exploité et pillé, invite à se dresser pour ne pas laisser faire la violence et les asservissements, et surtout à ouvrir de nouveaux espaces de liberté ici et maintenant. À jardin, le musicien Simon Winse accompagne les mots de ses très belles sonorités, contribue à la force tranquille du propos. Pour que demeurent les traces qui survivent, la bienveillance et la volonté. Comme le précise Felwine Sarr dans un entretien réalisé dans le cadre du Festival d’Avignon 2020, il s’agit de « replacer l’humanité lumineuse au cœur de la question sociétale ».
