« Être homme ne fait pas humanité ; voilà la tragédie humaine. » lâche Olivier Dubois. C’est justement l’impalpable qui surgit du « vivre ensemble » et relie les êtres par delà le genre, par delà leur irréductible singularité, que cherche à révéler le chorégraphe. Poursuivant un cycle de pièces sur la résistance, l’artiste revendique la création comme acte politique. « Qu’est-ce que cet entre-nous qui ne m’appartient pas, mais qui ne peut naître que de notre action volontaire et réfléchie ? ». Neuf femmes et neuf hommes, nus sur un plateau nu, vont et viennent, martèlent au sol une phrase de douze pieds, comme un alexandrin chorégraphique qui cogne obstinément, se répète, encore et encore. Peu à peu cette marche répétitive et insistante s’enfièvre, happée par les rafales musicales de François Caffenne. Sculptés par la lumière blafarde, les chairs se tendent, se tordent, les gestes résistent, puis soudain hurlent, se heurtent, s’insurgent. Déployant le motif du chœur, les 18 danseurs de cette Tragédie disent par leur corps dévoilé, exposé, les tumultes de leur histoire, de notre Histoire.
