Fils d’immigrés espagnols élevé entre la langue maternelle de sa famille et le français du dehors, nourri des airs qu’il entendit dans les deux langues lors de ses nombreux allers-retours entre les deux pays qui l’ont vu grandir, Miguel-Ange est, selon ses propres mots, un « bilingue biculturel » qui a toujours vécu en « chantant/cantando », s’imprégnant des airs ibériques et hexagonaux en stéréo avant de composer lui-même ses chansons. Enfin réunis dans un même concert, son double répertoire mêle des standards français et espagnols (versions espagnoles des Feuilles mortes et de Lettre à France, versions françaises de Balada para un loco et de Guantanamera) à ses créations originales. Le « dandy-performer-hispano-parisien » est accompagné au piano et à l’accordéon par Magali Ripoll, à la contrebasse par Alexandre Perrot et à la batterie et au cajón par Jean-Baptiste Paliès dans une formule musicale et scénique épurée dessinant les contours d’un univers créatif surprenant et rafraîchissant.
