THEATRE DES ABBESSES / MUSIQUE DE CHAMBRE
La scène musicale scandinave, trop peu représentée dans les programmations musicales françaises, regorge de talents magnifiques. Parmi ceux-ci, cette formation d’excellence danoise qui vient de fêter ses vingt ans d’existence, considérée par la presse internationale comme l’un des tout meilleurs trios avec piano du circuit. L’ensemble qui a remporté à ses débuts toutes les compétitions internationales du genre, dont l’ARD à Munich, « Vittorio Gui » à Florence ou le « P2 Artists Prize » dans son pays, s’est particulièrement distingué avec une intégrale (toujours en cours) des trios de Beethoven sur le label Orchid Classics. Les sœurs Soo-Jin Hong (violon) et Soo-Kyung Hong (violoncelle) ainsi que Jens Elvekjaer au piano ont pourtant choisi d’autres partitions pour leur prochain concert parisien : le Trio n°2 opus 66 de Mendelssohn, le Trio « à la mémoire d’un grand artiste » de Tchaïkovski et enfin Phantasmagoria, une œuvre qui leur fut dédiée par le compositeur danois Bent Sørensen (né en 1958), qui témoigne de la grande place laissée au répertoire contemporain de la formation danoise.
