Même si leurs chemins se sont souvent croisés, leurs façons de concevoir le hip hop montrent sur ce même plateau deux factures bien différentes. Avec J’arrive !, Aurélien Kairo ose la théâtralité, l’humour et l’émotion suscités par une relecture chorégraphique des chansons de Jacques Brel. Un solo exalté et exaltant qui brouille les attendus sur le geste hip hop. Le Trio conçu par Abderzak Houmi en préalable à sa pièce 3 au Cube est un travail beaucoup plus porté sur l’abstraction, et sur les fondamentaux du mouvement tels que l’espace. Ainsi, son hip hop s’inscrit de façon fluide et virtuose dans un espace géométrique précis et fouillé, interprétant les possibilités spatiales de la ligne, des trajectoires et des volumes jusqu’à l’emboîtement. Deux histoires qui écrivent la danse hip hop dans toute sa richesse.
