Jan Kott s’est étonné du ton bouffe de la pièce de Shakespeare Troïlus et Cressida, mêlé d’une philosophie d’une amertume extrême et d’une poésie passionnée. Cette bouffonnerie constante ne fait finalement qu’interrompre cette grande querelle sur le sens et le prix de la guerre comme sur l’existence et le prix de l’amour. Anne Alvaro et David Lescot mettent vaillamment en scène cette œuvre où l’on ne distingue pas d’action principale, « à la fois comédie amoureuse qui vire au tragique, épopée guerrière qui contient sa propre parodie, traité politique de la ruse et du calcul, et peut-être aussi comédie musicale ». Ce sont des héros antiques peu glorieux et indignes d’eux-mêmes, ridicules et sublimes, que bouscule le cynisme le plus noir comme la passion la plus éperdue. L’aventure ne pouvait que plaire aux élèves de deuxième année de l’Ecole d’acteurs de Cannes, de jeunes et enthousiastes personnages shakespeariens, tous plus ou moins Troïlus et Cressida, à fleur de peau. Avec l’apport de la chorégraphe Nina Dipla, et à partir de la traduction d’André Markowicz. Un travail à ne pas manquer.
