Sons d’hiver
Le festival du Val-de-Marne fête ses 20 ans d’aventures musicales avec une programmation placée sous le signe des échappées belles “pour exprimer l’intense créativité musicale du monde actuel” avec ce goût du risque afin de “se laisser surprendre par la beauté ”. Le programme décline en treize concerts une majorité de doubles (voire triple) plateaux, offrant une écrasante majorité d’inédits ou de créations, du jazz aux musiques urbaines, du rock aux musiques du monde. Avec, parmi beaucoup d’autres, les pianistes Marilyn Crispell, Matthew Shipp et Geri Allen, le bluesman Ladell McLin, les saxophonistes Chico Freeman, Steve Coleman, Steve Lehman et Franceso Bearzatti, la chanteuse soul Nona Hendryx ou encore une série de relectures de la musique de l’album “Bitches Brew” de Miles Davis (par Graham Haynes le 4/02 et Greg Tate le 5/02).

Festival Au Fil des Voix
Troisième édition de cet unique et exemplaire festival des
voix du monde à l’écoute des meilleures sorties récentes d’albums au rayon ”World”. “Je suis particulièrement sensible à la voix : le chant interpelle et il est ce qu’il y a de plus représentatif d’une esthétique” souligne Saïd Assadi, Directeur du label Accords Croisés et initiateur du festival. “J’ai souhaité associer différents labels et tourneurs autour de l’organisation d’un festival. Notre but est de démontrer l’actualité des musiques du monde, de dépoussiérer leur image folklorique” poursuit ce programmateur heureux et passionné qui convie cette année à l’Alhambra les « Voix et rythmes du Sahel » avec Toumast (Niger) et Sorry Bamba (Mali), le 3 ; Ali Reza Ghorbani & Dorsaf Hamdani (Chant persan & arabe) et Danyel Waro (île de la Réunion), le 5 ; les portugais Ana Moura et Rodrigo Leao, le 10 ;
l’indien Chaurasia le 11 ; et enfin Titi Robin & Faiz Ali Faiz puis Jacky Molard Quartet & Foune diarra trio, le 12.

Festival Du Bleu en Hiver
Accueilli au Théâtre des 7 collines de Tulle en Corrèze, ce “petit festival” niché au coeur de l’hiver limougeau récèle un remarquable concentré de jazz exigeant et ouvert. Trois jours de concerts sont à l’affiche, de midi (les apéros-concerts du trompettsite Jean-Luc Cappozzo) à minuit (en particulier en compagnie des musiciens du remarquable Maxiphone). Andy Emler, présent tout au long de la saison à Tulle, ouvre la fête avec son MegaOctet qu’on ne présente plus, formation désormais unanimement encensée par la critique et le public (le 27 à 20h30), avant de revenir le lendemain (à 19h) seul à son piano pour une heure en liberté inspirée autant par Genesis que Debussy. A suivre : le quartet de la contrebassiste Hélène Labarrière (le 28 à 21h30), le groupe bordelais Fada pour un dialogue entre hip hop, rock et jazz porté par le slammeur Marco Codjia (le 29 à 19h) et enfin, le même jour à 21h30, en concert de clôture, un triple plateau relevé et juvenile composé de L.O.S (human Beat-box), du quartet afro-jazz Le Tigre des platanes et du trio Minimal Orchestra et son excellent électro-jazz.
