La Comédie de Saint-Etienne / de Lot Vekemans / mes Arnaud Meunier / à partir de 12 ans
« Truckstop, c’est le nom qu’on donne aux bars pour routiers. Situé à la croisée de grandes routes, celui-ci est tenu par une femme et sa fille, dont un routier va tomber amoureux. La pièce déploie un polar social à la narration morcelée, un puzzle dont les pièces se rassemblent petit à petit et qui tient le spectateur en haleine au fil de son déroulement. Avec des personnages d’une grande humanité, un peu à la manière du film 21 grammes d’Inarritu. Le morcellement est plus difficile à faire exister au théâtre qu’au cinéma, et ce défi me passionnait d’autant plus que je n’ai jamais créé pour l’adolescence. Comme Stefano Massini, Lot Vekemans a cette capacité à transcrire et faire vibrer le réel. La force de l’intrigue – qui se fonde sur un fait divers sanglant – et la composition fragmentée créent une action qui accroche, et qui dérive vers le fantastique, avec en toile de fond ces grandes routes commerciales un peu aberrantes, où les marchandises voyagent sans cesse d’un pays à l’autre. »
