Cela fait quinze ans que l’Opéra de Massy donne les chefs-d’œuvre de l’art lyrique en banlieue sud. Une démarche socialement salutaire que l’on doit au directeur de cette institution, Jack-Henri Soumère. Celui-ci a choisi de programmer en janvier, pour la première fois à Massy, Turandot de Puccini. L’opéra « chinoiserie », célèbre dans le monde entier pour son air « Nessun Dorma » immortalisé par feu Luciano Pavarotti, sera proposé dans une production de l’Opéra de Trêves. C’est le patron de ce théâtre, Gerhard Weber, qui en signe la mise en scène. La distribution, très italienne, ne comporte aucun chanteur star mais peut-être des révélations… Pour l’anecdote, le chœur vient d’Ascoli Piceno, ville italienne jumelée avec Massy.
