En France, on évalue à plusieurs milliers le nombre de personnes qui, chaque année, du jour au lendemain et sans donner d’explication, font le choix volontaire de disparaître, de changer radicalement d’existence. Sur la scène du Théâtre Victor-Hugo de Bagneux, Two or three things about loss nous présente « un personnage mystérieux et taiseux » qui pourrait bien lui-même prendre une telle décision. Look urbain, casquette sur la tête, évoluant à l’intérieur et autour d’une cabine téléphonique, ce jeune homme interprété par Guillaume Le Pape est suspendu à un appel.
Une décision radicale : la disparition volontaire
De flashbacks en flashforwards, cet être nous ouvre son existence, nous invite à découvrir qui il est, ce qu’il ressent, pourquoi et comment il envisage lui aussi de tout quitter. A travers ce projet de création transdisciplinaire qui fait intervenir une marionnette, Guillaume Le Pape souhaite questionner « la construction de soi et la masculinité, le rapport à l’autre et au non-dit, la pression d’une éducation, d’un milieu, d’une société… ». Ceci tout en explorant les rapports entre les arts de la scène et le cinéma, tout en menant « une réflexion sur l’extrême intimité », sur « l’écart entre ce que révèlent les mots et ce que peut révéler le corps ».
