Treize compagnies, cent représentations, des lectures, des rencontres, des stages, des ateliers… Combinant brassage des sensibilités et mutualisation des moyens, ce festival de rentrée multiplie les temps d’échanges et tisse un lien nourri entre les artistes et entre artistes et spectateurs. Une belle façon d’entamer le mois de septembre ! Sous le parrainage artistique de Jean-Claude Penchenat, avec comme compagnies directrices le collectif Hic et Nunc de Stanislas Grassian et la compagnie La Mandarine Blanche d’Alain Batis, le festival présente créations et reprises, le plus souvent autour de la thématique transversale de la guerre et de l’amour comme un appel, au cœur d’une humanité malade en quête de sérénité. En ouverture, L’Age des comptoirs de Jacques Courtès mis en scène par Stanislas Grassian s’interroge : « que peut-être une adolescence qui ne rêve pas son avenir ? ». Le Cabaret des Engagés de Nicolas Ducron, cabaret masqué, musical et théâtral, rend hommage à la chanson engagée dénonçant l’oppression. Sofia Douleur de Laurent Gaudé mis en scène par Nitya Fierens est un conte moderne inspiré par les tragédies anciennes et des contes africains. Que d’espoir ! d’Hanoch Levin, dramaturge expert en rire grinçant et décapant, a été mis en scène avec succès par Serge Lipszyc.
Intimité protectrice
A mon âge, je me cache encore pour fumer de Rayhana, mis en scène par Fabian Chappuis, rassemble neuf femmes d’âges et de conditions variés libérant leur parole dans l’intimité protectrice d’un hammam à Alger. Céline Champinot met en scène Léonce et Léna de Georg Büchner, fausse comédie ancrée dans l’absurde du monde et de l’existence. Brasserie de Koffi Kwahulé, mis en scène par Yazid Lakhouache, avec des acteurs d’Europe Centrale, est une farce loufoque sur une guerre fratricide. La compagnie Libre d’Esprit présente un dyptique Kleist : Nikson Pitaqaj met en scène La Marquise d’O… et Coralie Pradet monte La petite Catherine de Heilbronn. Alain Batis met en scène Nema Problema de Laura Forti, rencontre entre un saxophoniste et un comédien, entre l’Italie et les Balkans en guerre. Claude Bonin invente Thelma, théâtre de marionnettes (à partir de 10 ans). Florence Bermond crée Démocratie(s) de Pinter et Grégoire Ingold monte Ahmed philosophe d’Alain Badiou. Un festival foisonnant et engagé.
