La mère de Jim, un enfant de huit ans, le conduit à l’hôpital parce qu’elle s’inquiète qu’il n’entende pas la voix de son grand-père mort… Aux urgences, le médecin slalome entre sa maîtresse, qui le poursuit, et sa femme, qui le harcèle au téléphone… Tout ce joyeux tintamarre inconséquent finit par transformer l’enfant à soigner en serial killer terrifiant qui n’a pas d’autre choix pour survivre que de tuer ceux qui l’empêchent de respirer ! « A partir d’une situation extrêmement classique, presque de théâtre de boulevard, il y a une série de sursauts, de décalages, de zigzags qui étonnent, déroutent, déséquilibrent et nous entraîne de façon cocasse jusqu’à l’horreur », remarque Jean-Michel Ribes à propos de la pièce de Petter S. Rosenlund. Avec un grand sens de l’humour et une totale liberté de ton, le jeune dramaturge interpelle le monde impossible dans lequel les adultes, à force d’immaturité, de détresse et d’inattention, finissent par rendre l’innocence criminelle.
