« Dans mon cœur à moi, elle est une langue maternelle, un spectre bienveillant qui rôde », dit L. de Barbara. Choisissant d’interpréter sa relation intime avec « la chanteuse mythique, la louve, l’aigle, l’oiseau de nuit », L. se tient dans un jardin suspendu hors du temps, dans lequel Thomas Jolly incarne l’ami, le journaliste, le confident de ces deux chanteuses qui n’en font plus qu’une, le temps du spectacle et le temps de l’hommage. Accompagnée au piano par Babx, « L. chante tout ce chemin parcouru depuis l’enfance dans le répertoire d’une interprète exceptionnelle, ses envies d’émancipation parfois et ce perpétuel retour à sa passion ». Voulant se garder du best-of autant que de l’exposition narcissique, L. choisit la scène pour faire renaître Barbara : pas de meilleur endroit, sans doute, pour celle qui y installait si souvent ses pénates !
