Rendez-vous est donné cette année encore sur la Promenade Newton, au bord de l’Huisne, pour louvoyer entre les propositions et les chapiteaux. La programmation est exigeante mais accessible, moderne mais familiale. Il y aura quelques spectacles récents mais déjà éprouvés, précédés par leur excellente réputation parfaitement méritée, comme le lunaire OBAKE par le Collectif Maison Courbe, l’impressionnant BITBYBIT par MOVEDBYMATTER & le collectif Malunés, ou l’OVNIesque Les Fauves de la cie Ea Eo. À noter, Inertie par la cie Underclouds, parenthèse gracieuse et poétique, et VRAI de la cie Sacékripa, malin et surprenant.
Une programmation de cirque riche et équilibrée
On attend également les premières nationales de quelques spectacles prometteurs. Deux d’entre eux ont en commun d’être des soli écrits et interprétés par des femmes, mettant en piste une forme d’empêchement et la façon de le transcender : Asthma Furiosa par Samantha Lopez (trapèze et chant) et Des nuits pour voir le jOur de la cie Allégorie avec Katell Le Brenn (contorsion et équilibre). L’Histoire de Pom, enfin, du Cirque du Docteur Paradi, est une fable circassienne pour petits et grands. Ce n’est qu’un aperçu d’une programmation riche, qui fait du Mans une destination choisie pour les amateurs de cirque contemporain.
