« Ça fait une heure que nous sommes là, et vous n’avez encore rien fait ! » vocifère, à l’attention d’un public plus ou moins anxieux, la maîtresse de cérémonie. Les spectateurs – dont on peut comprendre l’inquiétude lorsqu’on connaît les scènes auxquelles ils viennent d’assister, franchement anti-conventionnelles – peuvent pourtant se rassurer : il ne leur est pas demandé de participer activement aux expériences des interprètes, ni de monter sur scène… Et s’ils sont pris à parti physiquement, l’expérience restera relativement indolore et anonyme. Il n’en reste pas moins que, dès les premières minutes du spectacle, le « quatrième mur » s’écroule, un vent de folie souffle dans la salle, et plus personne ne sait jusqu’à quel point les codes de la représentation voleront en éclats. Des spectateurs sont pris de fou rire, d’autres atteignent un état de jubilation pure, pendant que certains s’excusent (« désolé de t’avoir emmenée ici, Maman ») ou hurlent qu’ils veulent sortir. Qu’elles soient enthousiastes ou indignées, ces réactions font partie intégrante du spectacle, et forment l’écrin d’une réflexion fine sur les relations humaines, le besoin d’être à deux, le regard sur l’autre. Un moment jubilatoire, porté par une vingtaine d’interprètes-performers dont il faut saluer la témérité et la générosité.
