Elles s’étaient vaguement croisées sur scène au fil des ans mais n’avaient jamais travaillé véritablement ensemble. L’idée de ce tandem inédit revient à Michèle Bernard, tombée sous le charme et l’émotion de sa consoeur dans Léo 38, un hommage à Ferré : « J’ai eu envie de « battre les planches » à nouveau avec Monique Brun, mais cette fois en partageant un moment unique que nous inventerions ensemble… Il en est né Un p’tit rêve très court qui recueille des mots, des textes glanés par nous dans nos petites anthologies personnelles, des bouts de poèmes qu’on « recopie » sur des carnets parce qu’ils résonnent si fort en nous qu’on veut qu’ils nous accompagnent » explique Michèle Bernard, la petite Dame à l’accordéon. « Chansons et mots naviguent côte à côte et nous les accompagnons, tour à tour, ou ensemble. Sur ce bateau, il est question d’enfance, d’utopie, de jeunesse éphémère, de souvenirs chevillés au corps et de rage inévitable. Il est surtout question de saluer la vie comme un cadeau. Un rêve de quiétude en quelque sorte. » complète Monique Brun, la comédienne enchantante. Une proposition presque secrète dans le tourbillon du off, pour les amoureux de la chanson française de tradition.
