Ce n’est pas un sujet dont on parle beaucoup, surtout quand il devient problème. Dans les familles, il reste souvent tabou. En société, on ne veut en voir que la dimension conviviale et festive. Que recèle notre consommation d’alcool, qui peut la rendre excessive ? Didier Poiteaux a recueilli de nombreuses paroles sur le sujet et axé son récit autour de sa propre expérience puisque sa mère était alcoolique. Accompagné en direct par la basse d’Alice Vande Voorde, dans une mise en scène épurée d’Olivier Lenel et dans un format qui se rapproche par moments du Stand Up, il endosse ces paroles sorties du silence en alternant récit et jeu théâtral. Sans misérabilisme, mais parce que cette addiction en dit long sur chacun de nous, Un silence ordinaire propose un théâtre documentaire qui « pérégrine avec humour, poésie et sensibilité dans la complexité de nos questionnements ».
