A l’inverse de son explosion de couleurs et de mouvements née dans les élans de Bach (Que ma joie demeure), Béatrice Massin a voulu dans ce Voyage d’Hiver traiter le plan musical sous un autre angle. Trouvant dans la composition de Schubert une évolution du style baroque, la chorégraphe a choisi de réunir sur le plateau des danseurs, un baryton et un pianiste autour d’une scène mouvante faisant le lien entre les différents artistes. Chacun s’écoute, chacun se regarde, dans un concert de chambre attentif aux évolutions des corps quels qu’ils soient. Si le chant occupe une place importante, c’est pour mieux nous plonger dans l’atmosphère des Schubertiades, comme un voyage avant tout musical nécessitant l’élaboration d’un espace intime entre tous. Douceur, nostalgie et parfois austérité règnent sur cette étrange communauté livrée à la légèreté de l’instant.
