L’amour, en terre de Turakie, est un poisson rebelle que nul ne peut apprivoiser. Sur une île imaginaire inspirée par celle de Sein en Bretagne, où se dresse le phare d’Ar-Men, l’héroïne de Une cArMen en Turakie est en effet presque pareille à celle de Georges Bizet : séductrice et éprise de liberté. Bricolée par Michel Laubu avec du papier mâché, des vinyles et toutes sortes d’autres objets récupérés, la belle se fait libérer de son phare-prison par un Don José de bric et de broc. Cela sur une musique aussi savamment rafistolée que le reste par Laurent Vichard, également auteur d’adorables films d’animation, dont les crustacés musiciens prennent parfois le relai de l’opéra enregistré dans des harmonies et des timbres inattendus. Créé il y a trente ans par le Turak Théâtre, le territoire de Turakie regorge toujours autant de surprises et de fantaisie.
