Les deux danseurs se connaissent depuis plus de vingt ans, et ont partagé l’aventure de la danse contemporaine française sans pour autant se retrouver sur les plateaux. Ce duo pose aujourd’hui les bases d’une redécouverte de l’autre, comme s’il avait fallu tout ce temps pour laisser décanter, à l’intérieur des corps, le poids du monde et de l’âge. Dans la plus grande simplicité, les voilà qui donnent à voir les chemins possibles d’une relation, douce et pudique, qui s’écrit sous nos yeux. L’espace se couvre d’abord de pièces de tissu, qui rythment leurs déplacements dans un paysage sonore soyeux et rock bercé par la chanteuse Sidsel Endresen.
Un monde à part
Ces carrés d’étoffes vont devenir tour à tour montagnes, couvertures moelleuses, draps, robes, casques et masques… Leur danse est un travail sur le poids, sur le temps, mais aussi sur la liberté et le plaisir. Mais c’est dans les petits gestes qu’il faut déceler l’essence d’Une Douce Imprudence. Que ce soit dans le touché, dans le porté, dans l’habillage ou dans le simple regard tourné vers son compagnon de route, la tension comme l’attention sont extrêmes et donnent le la à ce duo tout en résonnances. L’atmosphère qui s’en dégage donne au partage et à l’apaisement un sens poétique.
