En fait d’une semaine, il s’agit de quatre jours de danse, que le marathonien aura plaisir à expérimenter sans œillères : danse baroque, hip hop, contemporain, cabaret loufoque… C’est Béatrice Massin qui ouvre les festivités avec sa toute dernière création intitulée Un Air de Folies, qui semble contraster avec son précédent Voyage d’hiver à l’énergie plus posée. Ici la musique « savante » de Marin Marais vient se frotter aux airs de cour pour un joyeux mélange d’airs à boire, de danse vives et de chants tendres. En soutien à cette relation danse-musique, les chorégraphies de Béatrice Massin dépassent la seule esthétique baroque en brassant les codes avec un regard neuf.
La danse contemporaine en décalage
C’est aussi un regard décalé que posent Marie-Agnès Gillot (danseuse étoile de l’Opéra de Paris) et Régis Obadia sur le hip hop. Rodin pour l’une, et Bach pour l’autre sont les fils conducteurs de ces deux pièces courtes confrontant l’énergie du hip hop à des habitus de danse contemporaine. Mais la palme en matière de détournement revient sans conteste à Tomas Lebrun qui, avec ses Soirées What You Want ?, joue la carte du divertissement pour nous amener dans un univers unique en son genre. Sous l’amusement de cette soirée en forme de cabaret, sous les paillettes et les perruques se profilent sans prévenir de grands moments de danse servis par des interprètes d’exception.
