Epinglée dans Les mots et les images, la phrase de Magritte bouscule l’ordre du langage bien calé au creux des habitudes et relance le rapport entre l’objet, son identification et sa représentation. « C’est comme l’algèbre : pour résoudre une équation, il nous faut tenter plusieurs combinaisons, déplacer les choses à différents endroits, essayer de positionner un nombre à la place d’un autre. Il en est de même avec la chorégraphie. Si vous n’essayez pas de déconstruire sa définition même, sa pratique cessera d’évoluer. Unwort, union d’un « un » privatif et de « wort », soit « mot » en Allemand, donc littéralement « non mot », déroute les attendus de la chorégraphie et chamboule les formes : danse sans danseurs, la performance travaille au corps les principes même de composition en jouant avec des néologismes pour créer un langage abstrait. Dans l’espace dépouillé de l’Église des Célestins, trois performeurs manient avec agilité ces « mots imaginaires » et amènent le public à créer des relations lexicales qui leur donneraient signification, ouvrant un nouvel espace poétique.
