Les Célestins – Théâtre de Lyon / Texte et mise en scène Valérian Guillaume
Auteur, metteur en scène et comédien, directeur artistique de la Compagnie Désirades, Valérian Guillaume écrit des pièces qui ont pour point commun « d’appréhender les phénomènes contemporains comme matière poétique ». Dans Richard dans les étoiles, c’est une poétique du quotidien qui est à l’œuvre. Incarné par six interprètes professionnels (Jules Benveniste, Raphaëlle Damilano, Giulia Dussollier, Lucie Gallo, Amandine Gay, Valérian Guillaume), ainsi que par un groupe d’amatrices et d’amateurs, ce conte social éclaire l’existence d’un jeune homme qui rompt, du jour au lendemain, avec la course folle de la société consumériste.
Éloge de la lenteur
« Que vaut-on quand on s’arrête de produire, quand on ne sert plus aux autres ? », interroge Valérian Guillaume. Sans raison apparente, Loïc se retranche subitement du monde. Il baisse le rideau de fer de son food-truck, institution locale dans laquelle il vendait les meilleures frites du quartier, pour devenir un autre. Cet autre, c’est Richard, le double introverti et solitaire de Loïc qui choisit de vivre ses rêves. Nourrie par des musiques de Victor Pavel, Richard dans les étoiles fait l’éloge de la lenteur et met en évidence les normes sociales qui poussent l’individu à toujours plus de performance.
