Déjà éprouvée dans des théâtres comme dans des lieux atypiques (au bord de l’eau, dans un jardin), la Valse en trois temps est un triptyque léger et tendre pour trois univers musicaux. Classique, jazz et rock œuvrent non pas pour le choc des mondes, mais pour travailler ensemble une écriture chorégraphique délicate, variant de contrepoints en échos, pour un répertoire de gestes allant du poétique au loufoque. En solo sur Vivaldi, une danseuse cisèle ses hésitations dans une gestuelle vive et saccadée pour finalement se laisser emporter par ses propres élans. Le duo très jazzy ose l’emportement des corps, quand un homme et une femme se retrouvent et s’éloignent, tout en suspension et en sensualité. La dernière partie offre une peinture plutôt burlesque de trois individus mystérieux, en prise avec le rock des bas-fonds du groupe Tiger Lillies, dont ils s’emparent avec beaucoup d’humour… noir.
