Historienne formée à la gestion culturelle et aux nouvelles pratiques philosophiques, danseuse passée par la Merce Cunningham school et ayant travaillé avec Viola Farber ou Johanne Leighton, Fré Werbrouk a installé sa compagnie à Bruxelles. Lauréate en 2017 du prix chorégraphique de la SACD, elle présente en première française sa trilogie Variations sur l’immobile, composée de trois soli féminins contemplatifs et envoûtants. Le premier d’entre eux, Sillon, est un voyage sédentaire dans lequel les mouvements de Sara Semployo et l’image projetée sur le plateau fusionnent, comme dans la brume d’un rêve. Le deuxième, Phasme, met en scène la danseuse Lise Vachon, corps encastré dans une table. Inspiré d’une série de tableaux de Michaël Borremans, il évoque avec une beauté fascinante, entre ombre et lumière, la solitude d’une créature énigmatique. Créé en 2018, le troisième et dernier, Murmurô, a été suggéré à Fré Werbrouk par les encres de chine d’Henri Michaux. Il « dessine le portrait d’une femme, un être de la marge qui, par le corps, son énergie, son mouvement, suggère une possible liberté ». Évoquant la figure de la sorcière, Antia Diaz Otero, par sa danse organique, y interroge nos vies d’êtres civilisés.
