« Pas contente » ! Refrain basique, rythmique hypnotique, ce gimmick simple et funky fut l’une des bonnes surprises de 2014. On découvrait une bande de Lyonnais astiquer des grooves bien huilés, patinés à l’ancienne, qui se sont hissés à la hauteur des meilleures machines actuelles du genre afro-funk. Depuis, le hit ne cesse de tourner en boucle. Pour piloter cette belle mécanique, le chanteur et guitariste togolais Peter Solo donnait le cap à suivre : « Le vaudou, c’est la base. Ce qui nous accompagne, nous protège, nous donne l’énergie d’avancer et l’envie de partager ». En clair, c’est l’essence qui fait carburer le groupe, totalement renouvelé à l’occasion de leur quatrième album, enregistré lors du confinement, toujours fidèle néanmoins à son label Hot Casa. Ce sera l’un des deux boss du label, Julien Lebrun, qui prendra les manettes pour enchaîner un mix afro-soul-funk dont il a le secret.
