Comment ce projet est-il né ?
Véro Dahuron : J’ai organisé un gueuloir fin mars 2006 et lu toutes sortes de textes sans savoir à quoi m’attaquer. Je voulais parler de choses très intimes et de grands événements, de mai 68 au tsunami ; je regardais des vidéos, je lisais des textes sur la maladie, la mort. En même temps, au-dehors, avaient lieu les manifestations contre le CPE. A la fin de ce gueuloir, une femme de quarante-cinq ans, Monique, est venue me dire son émotion. Le 11 septembre, pour elle, était la date de la mort de son père. Monique m’a encouragée dans cette idée de mêler les grands événements historiques et l’intime des gens. C’est elle qui m’a donné envie d’interroger l’effet des événements sur les corps. Une séparation amoureuse, un deuil, un licenciement, une maladie : comment se débrouille-t-on pour vivre avec ça, qu’est-ce qui se produit à travers le corps à cette occasion ? En anglais, le mot blast désigne une implosion, une déflagration intérieure dont on ne voit pas immédiatement les effets : je voulais interroger ces effets. L’idée de ce projet est donc née en mars 2006. Nous avons demandé à des gens de se laisser interviewer : fin novembre, nous nous sommes retrouvés avec vingt-cinq interviewés, parlant jusqu’à quatre heures chacun !

Comment avez-vous condensé cette matière textuelle ?
V. D. :
Philippe Malone a accepté d’aider à la dramaturgie mais le matériau initial était tellement dense qu’il a finalement réécrit certains passages, reprenant à chaque fois les mots des interviewés. Le texte final mêle les témoignages bruts et la réécriture. La première partie du texte et du spectacle correspond à une sorte de magma, mêlant le 11 septembre, la fermeture des usines Moulinex, l’assassinat d’Allende. La deuxième partie, écrite par Malone, évoque les guerres. La troisième partie tisse six monologues, nés des témoignages.
Comment incarnez-vous ces paroles ?
V. D. : Nous sommes trois sur scène, deux garçons et une fille. Nous n’avons pas voulu interpréter les personnages interviewés mais être leurs voix, leurs porte-parole. On voulait absolument éviter le pathos larmoyant : il s’agissait de déplacer les choses sans les trahir. D’où l’utilisation du micro, d’où aussi le choix d’images retravaillées, qui embarquent le spectateur de manière impressionniste. Venir voir ces histoires au théâtre peut sembler d’emblée perturbant et gênant mais très vite, on se laisse aller en elles, d’autant qu’elles sont portées par un humour et un panache incroyables.
