Comment est né ce projet de commandes d’écriture ?
Véro Dahuron : Tout est parti d’une installation conçue par Sophie Calle en 2007, intitulée Prenez soin de vous. Après avoir reçu un email de rupture de la part d’un amant anonyme, Sophie Calle avait demandé à 107 femmes de réagir à cette lettre. J’ai trouvé cette installation magnifique, bouleversante. J’ai tout de suite eu envie de rebondir à partir de ce travail, de m’emparer du thème de la rupture en le liant à ce qui constitue le cœur de mon parcours de théâtre : l’écriture contemporaine française ou étrangère. J’ai donc demandé à cinq auteurs de nationalités différentes — ayant tous, à un moment ou un autre, participé à un travail au Panta-théâtre — d’écrire un texte de quinze minutes, pour deux acteurs, un homme (ndlr, Timo Torikka) et une femme, sur le thème de la rupture : que ce soit la rupture amoureuse, sociale, économique, ou même corporelle… Ceci afin d’être amené à parler de ce qui éclate, de ce qui déchire, de ce qui fait mal.
Qui sont les cinq auteurs que vous avez choisis ?
V. D. : L’Islandais Sigurdur Palsson, le Français Frédéric Sonntag, le Libanais Elie Karam, la Hollandaise Lot Vekemans, et le Mexicain Angel Norzagaray. Tous ont répondu présents et, assez étrangement, l’ordre de présentation des cinq textes au sein du spectacle se trouve être le même que l’ordre dans lequel ces textes me sont parvenus. Ça déchire ! est donc une sorte de road movie qui part de l’Islande pour arriver au Mexique, en passant successivement par la France, le Liban et les Pays-Bas. Une sorte de ronde infernale qui, en cinq séquences, s’attache à dire le désamour.

Qu’est-ce qui vous a poussé à ainsi vouloir faire se rencontrer, dans un même spectacle, plusieurs écritures ?
V. D. : Je trouve l’idée de l’éclatement très intéressante : l’éclatement des pays, des styles d’écritures, des personnalités d’auteurs…Je suis très contente d’avoir pu réunir ces auteurs à l’intérieur d’une même représentation. Tous les cinq sont des artistes dont le travail me touche beaucoup. Ce projet est une façon de leur rendre hommage, de témoigner de l’intérêt que je porte à leur écriture.
Pour quelles raisons le thème de la rupture vous intéresse-t-il particulièrement ?
V. D. : Ce thème fait écho à des situations de vie qui m’émeuvent et me questionnent : la difficulté que l’on peut avoir de s’aimer toute une vie, par exemple, ou bien la capacité de vivre une relation à des milliers de kilomètres de l’être que l’on aime… Tout cela est passionnant et la façon d’aborder ces situations peut changer radicalement selon le pays du monde dans lequel on vit, selon qui l’on est, selon l’âge que l’on a… Ce sont toutes ces perspectives différences que j’ai eu envie d’interroger à travers ce projet. Cela par le biais d’un spectacle qui j’espère parvient à créer une grande proximité avec le public, une grande complicité, d’un spectacle qui permet d’échapper à une vision trop cérémonieuse et trop figée du théâtre.
