« Intolérants de tout bord, racistes, antisémites, ségrégationnistes, complotistes, conspirationnistes ; passez votre chemin. » dit le préambule de la charte du Club des Vieux Cons Modernes, déjouant d’emblée les accusations qui ne manqueront pas de fleurir contre le nouveau spectacle de Christophe Alévêque. Dans une époque de tiédeur fadasse où les grands éclats de rire sont considérés comme vulgaires, il est de mauvais ton d’affirmer respecter « autant les végans que les côtes de bœuf » et d’admettre que « philosopher et raconter des conneries en même temps » est très savoureux… Christophe Alévêque s’inscrit dans la veine moliéresque : plutôt Dorine et son franc-parler espiègle que Tartuffe et son hypocrisie fielleuse. Contre les inquisiteurs convaincus d’être les détenteurs de la vérité, contre ceux qui n’hésitent pas à tuer quand on les moque, contre ceux qui n’ont pas assez d’esprit ni assez d’estomac pour supporter la bonne chair et la chair fraîche, « l’humoriste engagé, dégagé, à la marge » enfile son armure de Vieux Con et part en croisade contre les Bisounours. Ça va saigner !
