Théâtre Monfort / d’après Shakespeare / Théâtre de la Ville / d’après Gogol / mes Vlad Troïtskyi
Du Roi Lear de William Shakespeare, Vlad Troïtskyi n’a conservé que le prologue, duquel il a fait disparaître les dialogues pour composer un patchwork nourri de toutes sortes d’influences. A partir du conte fantastique de Nikolaï Gogol (Viï, adapté par Klim), le metteur en scène ukrainien a construit une transposition contemporaine aux accents ésotériques, transposition mêlant mystiques chrétienne et païenne. Traversé par les éclats musicaux de groupe DakhaBrakha, l’univers artistique de Vlad Troïtskyi « puise dans la tradition populaire pour toucher à la création contemporaine », explique René Zahnd, qui a collaboré avec Julia Batinova pour la traduction de Viï – Le Roi Terre. Une double orientation qui rend compte d’une « authentique fascination pour le rites archaïques et la mystique ».
