Théâtre du Châtelet / Chor. Pina Bausch
« L’amour de Pina pour l’Italie était immense », confia au décès de la chorégraphe son ami et dramaturge Raimund Hoghe. Viktor, créé en 1986 à Rome, à l’invitation du Teatro Argentino, en témoigne. Première création de Pina Bausch ayant pour thème une ville, Viktor est une œuvre monumentale, sombre à souhait, imprégnée de violence, de tromperies, de séduction, de mort, très cinématographique. La princesse aveugle de E la nave va de Fellini avait bien retenu la leçon ! D’une tension formidable, baroque, Viktor témoigne (déjà !) d’une société au bord du gouffre. Sur des musiques populaires toscanes, lombardes, sardes et de l’Italie du Sud, des chansons d’amour des années 30, ou la Pathétique de Tchaïkovsky, les vingt-trois danseurs se cherchent, rêvent, se cognent. La brutalité des rapports domine l’ensemble. Pas de répit pour cette tribu d’âmes perdues. Tantôt la mise en scène joue sur le grotesque, tantôt elle devient absurde, vaine. On ne saura rien de Viktor, sinon qu’il « est de retour » comme l’affirme l’une des premières phrases du spectacle. Comme toujours, Pina Bausch nous entraîne dans le sillage de son imaginaire clair-obscur.
