On n’arrête plus l’accordéoniste niçois qui a conquis en quelques années, discrètement mais irrésistiblement, une place de géant du jazz européen. Ce nouvel opus qui sort chez Act est le second de son groupe Living Being. Car il s’agit bien du disque d’un groupe et non de celui d’un leader entouré de musiciens à son service et d’un instrument, l’accordéon, à l’identité souvent réduite ou au contraire envahissante. L’album frappe fort. Au ventre, à la tête et au cœur. Par son énergie, par son impact émotionnel, par le foisonnement des pistes musicales qu’il remonte (de Purcell à Led Zeppelin) et peut-être avant tout par la puissance organique du son d’ensemble d’une formation habitée de l’intérieur, que le leader aime à définir comme un « Chamber Rock Music Orchestra ». « Cet album approfondit notre travail collectif. L’accordéon n’est qu’un instrument parmi les autres, voire parfois même un peu en retrait. Ce n’est qu’en son absence qu’on remarquerait qu’il manque quelque chose. » souligne Vincent Peirani. Avec Émile Parisien (saxophones), Tony Paeleman (claviers), Julien Herné (basse et guitare électrique) et Yoann Serra (batterie).
