La rondeur généreuse des fruits rougeoie avec gourmandise et appelle à croquer les saveurs de la vie… « Viva la Vida » clame Frida Kahlo, inscrivant à même la toile ces trois mots libérateurs. En reprenant le titre du tableau de l’artiste mexicaine, mutilée dans un accident de bus, le festival entend bien déplacer le regard porté sur le handicap et célébrer l’élan créateur de ceux qui oeuvrent malgré la difficulté et cultivent leur singularité. Unissant huit établissements culturels et un cinéma du Val d’Oise, le programme propose huit spectacles qui évoquent le handicap soit par leurs thématiques soit par leurs interprètes. Olivier Couder et son Théâtre du Cristal, qui ont depuis longtemps ouvert la voie, Stéphane Olry et Sandrine Buring, le Théâtre du voyage intérieur, le Cirque Inextremiste, Emmanuelle Laborit, Ali Fekih ou la Compagnie « Hippolyte a mal au cœur » révèlent, par leur vitalité créative et la diversité des approches artistiques, la richesse de la différence. Qu’ils soient polyhandicapés ou sourds et muets, qu’ils s’expriment par le théâtre, la danse ou le cirque, les interprètes portent haut l’exigence de la création et de l’humanisme.
