Shakti, née en Inde d’un père indien qui l’a initiée au yoga, et d’une mère japonaise passionnée de Bharata Natyam, a toujours tiré parti des rencontres entre les cultures, qui ont nourri sa danse. Pour ce spectacle, elle s’associe, pour la seconde fois, à la peintre bouddhiste Mieko Nishimura : le corps de la danseuse, ainsi que les étoffes qui l’entourent, deviennent une toile pour la peintre, dont le tableau évolutif se crée avec la danse, chaque performance donnant le jour à une nouvelle œuvre. Comme fil rouge, les deux artistes ont choisi les Quatre saisons de Vivaldi : le printemps célèbre, en danse et en peinture, la naissance de la vie, ornée de feuilles et de fleurs de sakura. L’été, symphonie de couleurs, s’illustre aussi dans une ambiance de chaleur, avant que la calligraphie japonaise ne donne subtilement à voir les feuilles sèches de l’automne. Quant à l’hiver, il apparaît délicatement, dans un flocon de neige sur le dos nu de Shakti.
